Build

The Front Headlights

Step 01

Retrieve your Body assembly from the previous phase. Press the two Turn Signal Lights into these matching holes at the front of the Main Body Shell, as shown.

These should be pushed all the way in so they are sitting flush. It is just a press-fit so no screws are required:

Step 02

Fit the Headlights into the large circular openings at the front of the Main Body Shell.

The long post behind each Headlight should be inserted through the lower holes:

Step 03

Fit one of the LEDs on the end of the LEDs and Wires cable into this slot on the shorter post of the Left Headlight Holder (marked ‘L’), as shown.

The design of the Turn Signal Lights (and this holder) allow for another LED to be installed to light them up. But, apparently that is no longer part of the model construction:

Carefully turn your Body assembly over and slide this Left Headlight Holder into the holes behind the left Headlight with the LED going in behind the headlight, as shown.

Eaglemoss recommends placing a soft cloth down to protect the exterior paint when the model is upside down:

Secure the Left Headlight Holder into place with one (1) OP screw:

In the same way, repeat the previous process to slot the other LED into the Right Headlight Holder (marked ‘R’), slide it behind the right Headlight, and secure it into place with one (1) more OP screw, as shown:

Step 04

Run the wires of the left headlight LED along the inside of the fender and behind this post of the Main Body Shell:

You may notice that the Wire Clamp from the next step is already installed here – I did that to keep the wire in place for this picture:

Secure these wires in place with a Wire Clamp and one (1) CM screw, as shown.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal. Also, somehow my Wire Clamps were not the same size:

Using my sprue cutters, I needed to snip the longer one down to match the length of the shorter one:

Now, I could add the Wire Clamp and secure it over the wires:

In the same way, run the wires of the right headlight LED along the inside of the fender and behind this post of the Main Body Shell.

Again, you may notice that the Wire Clamp from the next step is already installed here – I did that to keep the wire in place for this picture:

Secure these wires in place with the remaining Wire Clamp and one (1) CM screw, as shown:

With that, this phase is complete. I did add some grey electrical tape to further keep these wires down on both sides. When we install the wheel arches later on in the build, this should keep these wires safe and out of the way:

And, since our front end is now finished, I thought I would take a progress picture of our Body assembly so far. Looking sharp!

Thoughts

I did not notice it at first, but the lenses of these Headlights are not clear, but smoked plastic. I like it!
