Materials: The only plastic in this phase are the License Plate Lamps – the rest is all metal.
Build
The Rear Bumper
Step 01
Fit the pin and post of the Left Bumper Overrider (marked ‘L’) into the matching holes at this location on the Rear Bumper.
To know which is which, the left and right ends of the Rear Bumper are marked ‘L’ and ‘R’ on the inside:
Secure this overrider into place from the other side with one (1) MM screw.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
In the same way, fit the pin and post of the Right Bumper Overrider (marked ‘R’) into the matching holes at this location on the Rear Bumper:
Secure this overrider into place from the other side with one (1) MM screw:
Step 02
Fit the Left License Plate Lamp (marked ‘L’) to this location on the Rear Bumper:
Secure this into place from behind with one (1) JP screw:
In the same way, fit the Right License Plate Lamp (marked ‘R’) to this location on the Rear Bumper:
Secure this into place from behind with one (1) JP screw:
Thoughts
As we work on this Rear Bumper, I am reminded how difficult it is to shoot pictures of chrome parts without seeing my own reflection! I was actually surprised that these overriders were made of metal. They could have easily been made of plastic.
