Build
The Rear Roof Liner
Before we begin, I just wanted to mention this metal mesh that is pre-installed into the Rear Roof Liner. Take care not to damage it while we work through this phase:
Step 01
Fit the eyelet of one of the Rear Hinge Cylinder Barrels to this location on the Rear Roof Liner and secure it with one (1) EP screw:
Fit the other Rear Hinge Cylinder Barrel to this location on the Rear Roof Liner and secure it with one (1) EP screw:
Step 02
Retrieve your Front Roof Cover from the previous phase. Push the two pins at the rear of the Front Roof Cover into the matching holes of the Rear Roof Cover, connecting the two pieces together as shown:
Step 03
Push the small Wire Clamp into the two holes at the center of the Rear Roof Liner.
First, run the interior LED and Wires cable into this channel, as shown:
Next, push the two pins of the flat Wire Clamp into the matching holes of the Rear Roof Liner to secure the wires in place:
Then, run the rest of the interior LED and Wires cable down the back left ‘leg’ of the Rear Roof Liner, as shown:
Push the large Wire Clamp into the matching holes at the left edge of the Rear Roof Liner:
Step 04
Retrieve your Body assembly from Phase 63 and turn it upside down.
As before, you may also want to secure the door in place using painter’s tape or similar. Also, Eaglemoss recommends placing a soft cloth down to protect the exterior paint when the model is upside down:
Position the Roof Liner assembly into the Body and slide the front Cylinder Barrels over the corresponding Cylinder Pistons:
At the same time, slide the rear Cylinder Barrels over the corresponding Cylinder Pistons:
Carefully lower the Roof Liner assembly down onto the body, aligning the screw holes, and making sure the interior LED wire is exiting the Roof Liner correctly, as shown:
Secure the front edge of the Roof Liner assembly to the Roof with two (2) CM screws.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Secure the rear edge of the Roof Liner assembly to the Roof with four (4) more CM screws:
Secure the middle the Roof Liner assembly to the Roof with two (2) MM screws:
Thoughts
So far, so good! This Roof Liner installed much easier than I thought it would. The Hinge Cylinders were a little finicky but not difficult.
