The Firewall Support Struts

Step 01

Retrieve your Main Chassis assembly. Slide the ‘hole’ end of the Left Firewall Support Strut (with the ‘L’ marking facing up) through this opening of the Firewall:

Align this end to the matching hole of the Bulkhead Frame and secure it in place with one (1) CM screw, as shown.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:

Push the ‘pin’ end of the Left Firewall Support Strut into this hole of the Left Side Panel Liner:

If you find that the strut doesn’t seem to reach the panel liner, you can squeeze the panel towards the center of the car a little and it will move into place:

Step 02

Slide the ‘hole’ end of the Right Firewall Support Strut (with the ‘R’ marking facing up) through this opening of the Firewall:

Align this end to the matching hole of the Bulkhead Frame and secure it with one (1) CM screw, as shown:

Push the ‘pin’ end of the Right Firewall Support Strut into this hole of the Right Side Panel Liner:
