The Firewall
Step 01
Push the pin on the left end of the Wiper Linkage (the end closer to the ‘bends’) into this top hole of the Left Pivot (the one with two holes).
The pin on the Left Pivot should face away from the Wiper Linkage:
Push the pin on the right end of the Wiper Linkage (the end farther from the ‘bends’) into the hole of the Right Pivot as shown:
The pin on the Right Pivot should also face away from the Wiper Linkage:
Step 02
Push the pin on one end of the Wiper Transmission Arm into the lower hole of the Left Pivot from the opposite side as the Wiper Linkage, as shown:
Step 03
Push the pins of both the Left Pivot and Right Pivot into these holes of the Firewall.
The free end of the Wiper Transmission Arm is not attached to anything yet, so I recommend not pushing these pivots all the way in just yet. We will need to rotate them a little when we connect the arm in a later phase:
I thought a view from the top might help here as well:
While that step finishes up this phase, I wanted to show off the superb detail of this Firewall. These little printed labels are amazing!
Thoughts
Did you notice there were absolutely no screws supplied or used in this phase? That is unusual for this model and reminded me of my James Bond Aston Martin DB5 build.
