Fitting the Engine to the Chassis

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the packaging and quality of this Main Chassis part:

Step 01

Retrieve the engine/gearbox assembly from the previous phase. Place it onto these two holes of the Main Chassis, as shown:

Make sure the posts under the engine fit down into the screw hole recesses:

Carefully turn the entire thing over and secure the front (crankcase) end with one (1) QM screw.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:

Then, secure the rear (gearbox) end with one (1) QM screw:

Thoughts

That was quick, but worth it! This Main Chassis is all metal and it is heavy; with the engine now fixed to this chassis, these combined components weigh 2 lbs (0.9 kg). We can also get an idea of how big this model will be when we finish it. This wraps up our fourth shipment, but I am excited with where we are at so far!

Running Total of screws used so far: 70
